- Festive Food is on the Washingtonian list of wedding vendors. I attended a wedding with Festive food catering and the event manager was amazing and the food was good. It may be a bit outside your $80 (I actually got a price estimate from them), but you can bring your own alcohol to save money and maybe work with the vendor in terms of less expensive food or different quantities.
- On other wedding message groups I have seen good reviews about Putting on the Ritz. The person that wrote about it was at $50/person not including labor and tax I believe.
- Catering by Windows(Alexandria) w/coordinator Debbie Smith also got rave reviews on another message board.
- Canapes Catering (Frederick, MD I believe) may be less expensive because it is outside the Beltway and it has gotten very good reviews on message boards. I believe they do a lot of weddings for Ceresville Mansion in Frederick.
- Marco Polo may be within your price range. I have seen good message board reviews and I believe the meal with rental portions are about $40-$50 then you have to add labor, open bar, and tax.
- I am going with Maryland Country Caterers (1-800-362-1631 - Dave Benson) for my wedding. The caterer is in Calvert County and does quite a few of weddings inside the Beltway. It is on the vendor list for Newton-White mansion and approved list for Rockwood Manor Park. I found them very affordable and the appetizer/cocktail food list is quite extensive.
: We're going to have our wedding at Glenview Mansion in Rockville. We're allowed to have any caterer we want--a good thing and a bad thing. We want experienced pros, but I definitely don't want to spend more than $80 per person, all told. Here's their list of caterers who have worked there before:
: Appeal Caterers, Avalon Caterers, B & B Washington's Caterer
: Calypso Jazz Cuisine Caterers, Canapes Catering, Capitol Catering,
: Catering by Joyce, Corcoran Caterers, Design Cuisine, Eatzi's Market and Bakery, Eric and Company, Festive Foods,
: Innovative Gourmet, Knife and Fork Caterers, La Prima, Lucks Caterers, Inc.,
: Marco Polo Caterers, Matters of Taste, Med Catering, Occasions Catering,
: Prime Choice Caterers, Putting on the Ritz, Rehm's Caterers, Rendez-vous Catering,
: Rock Creek Catering Co, RSVP Catering, Splendid Fare, Uptown Caterers
: Wickey's Caterers, Zeffert and Gold Catering.
: I don't know where to begin! If you know anything about these caterers or want to recommend others, let me know. Thanks!
