We have hired them for our wedding next year. I think that Mike isn't the super friendliest guy around, but he definitely has been responsive. He always calls me right back. I just think he might be a bit gruff, especially over the phone.
Anyway, I think basically as you near 1 month or so before your wedding, you should send him your song list of definite "do" and definite "don't" plays. ALso, if he is going to be making the announcements, you should send him a list of the wedding party. You might also ask someone to keep a copy of that stuff to give to him the day of the wedding, in case he doesn't have it or there are last minute changes.
