Hello. My older sister got engaged in December of 2000. By the time I got engaged in May, 2001 she had not yet picked a date, but was thinking of Spring 2001. My fiancee and i are so excited to get married, and dont want too long of an engagement, so we picked September 2002. My sis. has now picked May 2002. I am getting a feeling from both my mom and sister, that they would have prefered I wait until 2003. We are currently planning both our weddings, but I feel like my sister thinks I am taking her limelight. Do u guys think I should postpone mine even though I have picked a reception site / church, etc? Can't two weddings within 6 mos. still both be special? Do any of you know people that have gone thru the same situation?
Any advice / opinions would be greatly appreciated....as this is causing me major stress!
