Try Andre Chreky Salon at 16th & K. They specialize in weddings. They are not cheap, but are highly recommended. You'' see many on this board have used them. Splurge on yourself for your wedding.......

: I live in the D.C. area but am getting married in
: California in six weeks. I've had basically the same boring hairstyle
: most of my life-- long, with bangs. I used to trim my own bangs
: and would get my hair trimmed every few months or so, and I
: rarely pay more than $20 for a haircut ('cause it's not too hard to
: cut a straight line across the bottom of long, nearly straight hair;
: I could never justify spending $50 for this). However, I've been
: growing out my bangs since January and they are now
: chin-length. I desperately need a new haircut, probably with
: some slight layering around my face to make the bangs blend in a
: bit with the rest of my hair. I also have to decide how I'm going
: to wear my hair for the wedding; my mother has appointments for
: us with her hairstylist in California on the wedding day, but I'll
: need to be able to tell the woman exactly how I want my hair
: (with pictures) and I have to find someone in D.C. to help me try
: out different styles now! Can anyone recommend a wonderful
: hairstylist who listens to you, isn't too expensive, can create a
: new cut without getting too wild and crazy, and could also help
: with wedding-day styles? I live in Takoma Park so I'd prefer
: someone in MD or downtown DC (where I work) rather than
: Virginia. Thank you...
